PACK
200 PINEWOOD DERBY RULES
All
cars must pass the following inspection to qualify for the race:
1. Width
shall not exceed 2-1/4 inches.
2. Length
shall not exceed 7 inches.
3. Weight
shall not exceed 5.00 ounces.
4. Axles
and wheels shall be from the materials provided in the kit. Use of a pine body
from a “wedge kit” is allowed, but only
the wedge body may be used. Only
official Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Kit wheels and axles may be used.
5. Wheel
bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited.
6. No
lubricating oil of any kind may be used. Axles may be lubricated with powdered
graphite or silicone. Cars with axles lubricated with a fluid will be
disqualified.
7. No
graphite may be brought into the building where the race is held.
8. The
car shall not ride on any kind of spring.
9. The
car must be free-wheeling, with no starting devices
10. No
loose materials of any kind are allowed in the car.
11. A copy of this Rules and Procedures sheet signed by the Scout and one of the Scout’s parents must accompany each car entered into the Race.

according to the Pack 200 Pinewood Derby Rules. I understand that the objective of the Pack 200 Pinewood Derby is
to use my newly learned or improved skills to build my car with an amount of
assistance appropriate for my age, and above all to have fun. I understand that I must display the utmost
sportsmanship and support for my fellow Scouts at all times. I understand that at no time should I use
power tools without supervision from an adult.
