Rain Gutter Regatta

Pack 200 Official Rules

 

Only the Official Scout Rain Gutter Regatta kit may be used for the races.

 

Boats must be mono-hull; no catamarans, trimarans, tunnel hull, or any other multi-hull or modified hull designs are allowed. Basic shape of the boat kit must be used.

 

Use materials provided in the kit - one hull, one keel, one rudder, one mast, one sail. Additional materials may include paint, stickers, and light weight figurines, such as a “Lego man”. No other materials should be used.

 

Absolutely no ballast should be added to the boat.

 

The keel, rudder and mast may not be altered.

 

Scouts may not touch their boats during a race.

 

First boat to touch the end of the gutter wins that race.

 

All decisions of the volunteer judges are final.

 

No photo finishes.
